Stand Up Paddleboarding (or SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the world for good reason – it’s incredibly fun and easy to learn.

We’ll provide you with a stand up paddleboard, paddle and leg rope and the patient, friendly and professional instruction that will have you loving the sport in no time.

LEARN TO SUP Lessons take place at the calm waters of the Pioneer Valley River at John Cook Bridge, Pleystowe | Platypus Beach Club, Mirani | Kinchant Dam, Kinchant | Teemburra Dam, Pinnacle | Eungella Dam, Eungella and various ‘secret locations’ around the Pioneer Valley.

We offer Tour Style sessions in some of our iconic locations in the Pioneer Valley.  It is a ‘cruisy experience’, designed to suit all the family members.  We cover all the basics you need: proper stance, paddling technique, turning and more.

Your 90 minute ‘Learn to SUP’ lesson includes SUP board, paddle and leg rope, you will become familiar with equipment, paddle length, pickup and carry the SUP board, basic paddle stroke, basic paddle turn, paddle on knees, how to stand up, where to stand up and parallel stance.  It will also include some ‘One on One’ time for those of you who want a bit more support to get you started.

As you advance you will learn paddle standing up, proper stroke, control board direction, using your paddle to keep stable, using your paddle to keep from falling, safety and much more.  So be sure to take advantage of our ‘Repeat Client’ pricing and you are able to join in any of our running classes with availability, or go and explore the water way while we are at that location.

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, hat, towel water etc and an expectation of fun!
